Full Tilt Poker launched for real money in July 2004. Full Tilt has several world class poker players promoting the site, stars of poker like Howard Lederer, Erik Seidel, Phil Ivey, John Juanda and Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson. The software graphics is innovative with its cartoon-like avatars and the choices between several nice backgrounds.

The playability is good and the games are running fast and smooth. Player traffic was decent from the beginning and has increased steadily since the launch in summer of 2004. The volume is at peak hours 600-900 cash game players and 700-1100 tournament players.

Nearly 90% of the players play Texas Hold’em but the game variation is good and Full Tilt offers Razz together with the standard games Texas Hold’em No Limit and Fixed Limit, Omaha High, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo. Most traffic is at the low to middle limits. The quality of the games is mixed and there are both complete beginners as well as tougher opposition.

Rake is at industry standard, which means 1$ max at limits up to $1-$2 and $3 max at limits of $2-$4 and higher. The rake is reduced to 1$ or 2$ max on the shorthanded games.
