Paradise Poker is one of the leading online poker rooms. Its software is great and has one of the best feelings of all poker rooms. Traffic volume is top three with as much as 8000-10000 real money players at peak hours. Of those are 5500-6000 tournament players and 2500-4000 ring game players.

Paradise Poker’s games have been suffering from extremely tough competition and high quality players the last years but after they joined forces with sportsbook.com, one of the largest online sportsbooks, Paradise’s games have loosened up considerably.

Game selection at Paradise Poker is much better than average. Beside the standard range of games which usually consists of Texas Hold’em, Omaha, 7-Card Stud and tournaments, Paradise also offers 5-Card Stud, Pineapple and Draw Poker in fixed limit format. There’s many single table tournaments running but the rake is high for the low limit players who pay $5+$1 (17% rake) in the lowest single table tournaments.

The rake is similar to most other sites with a 5% max $3 cap at tables with more than 6 players and fixed limits above $2-$4. On the low limit tables the rake caps at $1.

Support is top notch; emails are often answered within minutes. There’s no live or telephone support but with the great email support there is no need to. One downside with Paradise Poker is the lack of promotions and loyalty bonuses for regulars.

In sum, Paradise Poker has made a serious attempt at re-position itself as the leader of online poker rooms. The games have become better and the software is still unmatched.
